Playing on 360, finally last night myself and a group of three friends joined matches all night with no issues at all. No freezing, no problems joining servers....just one minor squad boot where I had to reinvite.

The solution for me was to open ALL of the ports you outlined for PS3:

TCP Ports: 80, 13020, 18280, 18285
UDP Ports: 53, 3074, 11000-11030, 18285

The guide says just UDP 3074 for Xbox but for some reason, I did this and had the same issues, then opened all the above ports and it worked like a charm.

Thanks for the tips, and this is by far the best multiplayer game on any console ever, IMHO.

I have tried to play the trial since day 1 it was released only to receive 'failed to connect to EA online'. I've tried linking my GT on the EA website, but it said it couldn't find my GT. If the only way around this is to play an EA game, I'm off to download Fight Night Round 4 now then. I originally flatout refused to do this as quota isn't free here in Australia. I'll report back letting you know how I go.

Okay so I'm a bit confused because sometimes I can connect and play fine, other times I can connect but it can't find a game even though there's people online and other times it just won't connect at all. It is extremely frustrating.

Downloaded the FNR4 demo, went to multiplayer and setup the account. 1943 works fine now. I'll try it online tomorrow (3.20am at the moment!).

What's up with private matches? They don't work and it's really frustrating because it's so hard to get 16 people in the lobby in the first place. We have tried multiple times with different hosts. Nothing. It tries to find a server and then just throws everybody out from the lobby.

I have also had the problem with headsets on my ps3, after about 2 mins me and my m8s cant talk with each other, even though we're in the same squad. This is VERY annoying, i hope there are plans to fix it????!!!!!

Im starting to lose my patience with this game, i've done everything that has been said....but i still cant connect to EA. I've been able to play every other game online since the Ps3 release day without no problems, so it must be the game and not my internet

I am still having the same problem. Whats going on? EA needs to sort this out. I agree with cgt85 if this problem isn't sorted by next week I want my money back.

My problem again is, I get onto EA online I join a match and then within 5 mins of playing it loses connection, I get kicked out of that game, and then reconnect and join a new game. But the problem keeps happening over and over again.

This is definitly nothing to do with my connection because other people are having the same problem.

If you are going to release a game, release a game that works for everyone!

I made a mistake on the first post by listing Xbox360 Ports for PS3 and was told only the UDP should be needed by a tech guy, but your feedback confirms it should be the ones listed and I fixed the PS3 ones yesterday. Thanks for posting this.

Gordon,
Please address the private match issue. We have tried everyday to get private matches going & we are all getting booted. Some of us are only playing the game for the sole reason of private matches. Today we tried 10 different times with 10 different host's (16 people wasting an hour to no avail)
