on the ps3 before the aussie servers were out i could fly a plane no trouble at all even in the american servers.. the flight was very smooth, the only thing was that killing enemies was harder (because of lag) it has been confirmed that bf1943 runs a lot more smoothly on the ps3 then the 360 (my friend has 360 and i have seen for myself) so even once the 360 gets the servers don't expect it to be super smooth |

These are still coming for Xbox 360, first amount is small because that stock was quick to get. We use insane spec hardware and have extra orders coming in, just takes a bit to get these Down Under!

Gotta agree with you here dude. I've played both versions, (trial only on ps3, trial/full game on 360) and the idea it runs smoother on ps3 is ridiculous. If it's lagging so much that it looks smoother on one of those guys PS3 systems than the 360 version, or if its lagging so much you can't fly a plane, something other than the game is wrong. I fly planes all the time in game, do bombing runs, or take off early and chute to an early flag cap, and i get around 250 at worst, to around 500-600 per game max, with plenty of kills and flag caps/defends, and that's on the current servers. |

Thanks for the update on the oz360 servers Gordon and good job on the Major Nelson podcast considering the stress of launch, sleep deprivation and all. Look forward to bit of a dog fight with ya if your ever on the Aussie/Japan servers when they are all up and firing.

once again posting on another page for our aussie & nz gamers to head on over to the new battlefield australia community at Battlefield Australia so we can get together and have somewhere to share our gamercards / psn's and organise some events.

Te plan is yes, but the suits want numbers. So the more pre/orders the more servers I would be able to have ready. I know that sounds like a way to get you to pre-order, but it is the truth. That is what hurt us the most in BF1943, they had no pre/orders for me to prove BF1943 would sell well and they looked at past Arcade and PSN games.

Soon, I'm on the ball and things are getting better for the team now, shouldn't be to much of an issue for them to sort soon.

I do have one question, will the servers be based in Sydney like the PS3 ones? |

I very much agree, even on the japanese servers (not tooooo laggy for us, but bad enough) it is unplayable. GvD, being a pretty common name around the xbox australia scene on CoD and Gears of war, i can firmly tell you that once these servers come up, a large majority of my friendslist will be buying the the game. And the people who have already bought it, are having a freaking great time man, me included. If these servers have alot of room, and not just a couple of lobbys (:O), except a huge amount of sales for BFBC2. Cheers! |

For some reason the game wouldnt connect us to the Tokyo server last night like it did the previous night which meant as you may suspect "painfull, painfull lag"... |
