Has anyone downed a bomber?

When the three bombers go over has anyone destroyed them? I've shot at them with an AA gun and in a Zero and they definately take damage because the red damage indicator comes up.

Has anyone managed this and if so what do you get for it?

They're really sturdy. I called in an air raid and got shot at by an enemy plane and did not take much damage at all. They probably require a lot of skill to shoot down.

I've shot plenty down. They are tough but will go down. You get +10 points for each one downed.

It needs a few people shooting at them to have any chance of downing them.

Which makes sense. If they were weaker, they would get shot down every time and no one would use them.

You need bombers to be feared, so when people hear the sirens, they run.

I was on a carrier and heard the siren of a incoming bombing raid.. I just on the AA gun on the carrier and started firing behind at the bomber group... I shot down the front place and then the left wing one.. but the third got through and dropped it's payload. They def take damage those AA guns are powerful.

Wasn't me but I did watch a guy in a zero take down 2 of three while in a plane.. This kid could fly like a lalalala

I've taken down 3 in a plane, no AA assistance. Didn't know it was that hard for yall. Maybe I just got lucky?

I've shot down the whole group a couple of times with a plane by myself. I'm in way the best so I'm confident that anybody could do it.

Confirmed. Shoot one of them down and you get +10 per plane for vehicle destruction or sth. like that.

They do take a few hits, and your accuracy with the AA is severely reduced at the ranges that you might first spot the Bombers at. Wait till they get a bit closer to the island so that you have a full "Weapon Heat" bar, and just blast away at them.

If they're headed straight for you, just do the sensible thing and get in a jeep and run for your life, because unless the whole team is shooting at them, you'll never take out all 3 before they drop their payload.

it is so easy to shoot these down just make sure you have at least 2 fighters to shoot it down then get it from behind

ive shot some down in a plane but they can take alot of dmg so ive only managed to shot them down after they have unloaded the bombs, ohh well +10 points

me and a mate saw them coming as we were on the aircraft carrier and we both jumped on the AA's and shot them down quite easy they did'nt even get close.

I've managed to shoot all 3 down in a fighter. I find most players will panic and release their bombs once you kill the first bomber, so it's a good way of saving your allies. As mentioned above, it's worth killing them even if they've released as you get 10 points for each.

Thanks for the responses guys. Managed to shoot one down with a flak gun this morning. Good skills to those that have done all three. You've got to feel sorry for the poor dude who's hovered around the bunker for half the match, only to get in and see all 3 go up in flames before delivering his payload. Ha Ha!

I got a trophy or postcard or something for downing all 3 before they dropped the bombs. It's bloody hard work though, they're tough.
