And speaking of friends, 99% of this issue was sorted and I have been personally connecting and playing with friends on both systems with no issues. Keep in mind there can be a freak issues, but this should work a majority of the time.
Ok now this is how it is as far as Dice are concerned...
1 we said we added more servers
2 fixed EA login
3 99% of friend invites fixed

MY response to you on this Gordon...
1= we said we have but have we for real
2= EA login was already working for me but now you fixed it it doeas not
3 99% is not 100% this plus the fact you said "freak issues"=this will cover my lala when people cant join,I will say you must be in the freaky%

I WILL NEVER BUY A DICE PRODUCT AGAIN.
OK so your going to have issues on release with anything ok but for the love of god why would you release a game that needed so much more fixing?
The game suffers from graphical problems like lines going from the ship or tearing on the actual GFX,its like a long chunk of gfx going out into the distance.
Not happy with you guys, not at all, and these answers you give to people are nothing but wedges to keep your excuse door open.
Either fix it or pull it down and refund every person that bought the thing,at least untill you fix it so its playable by more than a 3rd of those who bought it.
NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

F.I.X T.H.E G.O.D.D.A.M.N F.R.E.E.Z.I.N.G.

Seriously, I can play for like a half an hour at most until this POS game completely freezes my xbox. There is even no consistency with it, it can happen anytime, anywhere. I've had it happen when sitting alone in a tank just looking at the view in Wake, I've had it happen when shooting at people and explosions everywhere, I've had it happen when the game is loading my respawn. I've cleared the xbox cache twice.

Someone said it's a packet loss issue. How the hell is it possible that when packet loss happens in other games people just warp around but with BF43 it attempts to murder your console? How can this kind of s-hit get past testing?

@GordonVanDyke: any chance that you (since most people are at least able to connect to EA online) could collect some gamertags that can't even get to the ToC, for manual checkup or send them to EA if neccessary?

I've been in contact with the EA support team several times and they've made changes to my profile each time, no improvement though. In this case it feels like someone needs to check the logfile and see what really happens.

Further info
- BF1943 is the first EA game I try to play online
- I have an EA-account
- I've had my gamertag for ages, don't know if theres something wrong in the related data.
- I've talked to the Xbox live support team regarding the above but they can't see nor do anything about it. Therefore my only hope lies in the hands of EA.
- Xbox360 gamertag: pitbyl

Do I need to point out how gratfeul I would be if I got this sorted out?

Yah I called and moaned at Xbox live about Dice and EA also but they do not seem to care at all.
Perhaps a quick visit to consumer rights would help.I think its called ofwat. its the international gov monitory bodie that makes sure people do not get ripped off within a consumer purchase no matter what TAC they implement.

There is a reason why you can't log on. It's "EA". Thanks EA for not using the Microsoft servers we pay for.

Default Oh my god!!!!!!!

MY LORD, MY NAN COULD DO A BETTER JOB!!!

able to get in for the past two days, played alright-ish, obviously could not get in wit buddy, got lucky once when matchmaking threw us into the same game.
And yes now i can after a few attempts get in wit my squad, although after 1 round it swaps us around and we are no longer on the same squad, or even the same team!!!

my MAJOR issue is the return of lag, it is unreal now, i shot a man four times in the face, he then proceeded to blow me up with a grenade, lala!!!

you wanna do th right thing here GVD, then tell us how and who we should contact to complain... every consumer has the right to complain to an offical body who can take action, who is this GVD!!!! cos there are enough of us here that are really lalalalaed about this!!! answer me GVD, cos four days now IS beyond a joke, and i don't care how bad other games have been fanboys, or how long you've had to wait, maybe its because you've never taken action that they feel they can get away with it. I however, was raised to believe that if something does not do what it says on the tin, then you take it back, i've taken games back b4 and i will again.

ANSWER SOME1 WHO WANTS TO COMPLAIN GVD AND STOP DUCKING AND DIVING!!!

This isn't very common, meaning far less than 10% for what we can tell and not one Xbox that I have played on has ever froze. Can't fix what doesn't happen to us and recreate. This is a wild shot, but is your Xbox 360 hot or not able to get cooled down?

If there's any reason the full version would work better I'll be happy to buy and try that right away? Anything to get it going really.

Any chance of fixing the splitting up of squads????....every one of my mate's are complaining about being split up after the first game. Put on different squads or on the other team.

I think this is related to something Microsoft needed us to do. When you play the trial and do not have an EA account attached to your Gamertag we have to create a spoof EA Online account. I'm now thinking EA Online is having issues with these accounts connecting because everyone without these spoof accounts can't connect. I can't promise you this 100%, but I'm pretty sure if you get the full game and create a proper persona that you see in your EA Account it will work. If I'm wrong I'll make sure it is fixed and get you any support needed.

I thought so too, but the console is on top of a table and has extra pads under the console's feet to lift it up for better airflow. I also have a fan blowing at it when I play, 'cause Im a bit paranoid about heat with this adorable little sauna. This did not help though. Crashes regardles of wheather the console has been up for 10 minutes or 10 hours. Doesn't happen with other games (except MtGotP, in which it is a known issue too). My console is a 2 year old Elite with a Zephyr mobo.

It worked for 10 hours straight on wednesday. I did get lucky and play on the same server for 10 hours on wednesday too. This debacle started on thursday, and it's really hard to find consistency with this since it seems to happen just about anywhere. It's mostly been happening when I'm in a tank, but it could just be that's because I drive tanks a lot. Thinking back, can't remember it happening in Iwo Jima, but mostly on Wake and a little less in Guadalcanal (not sure though, it has happened so often).

Based UK.
Went straight to the full paid for version.
Never played the game.
Raised a call on this with EA.

Gamer tag: GLIC

I have an EA account but I think when I raise a call with EA they removed my 360 persona from the account.

Never been challenged for a email or password.
Never been offered the Terms and Conditions

I start the game.
It tries to connect.
It fails.
Then asks me if I would like to try again.
Repeat.

Any help appreciated.

You didn't say anything I want to respond to... You don't get to 7.3 millions kills on X360 and 4 million kills on PS3 in 20 hours if people can't play. Looks at your own set-up and network first.

Guess it's easy to say when your only problem is the occasional unavailability of a server.
