Default Kudos to DICE

Instead of putting out a release date with the possibility of it being pushed back, they are waiting to release a date with none to very little chance of being pushed back. I'd rather wait for a date than have it pushed back 2 days before release. Kudos to DICE for doing this. A dev team that actually gives a damn about their community? A welcome change of pace in today's world.

They are doing a great job. GVD also does not need to chat to us and give us info but he does and I am grateful for it.

I wondered how long it would be until troll mctrollerson would should up.

Anyway, I love how Dice care about their community, reminds me of Bungie in a lot of ways.

You are correct, but we are also keeping our word to the 1st Parties that we won't predict a date before they can guarantee it will release. I can say we are close to confirming our dates (Xbox 360 Date & PS3 Date), but still need to settle a few minor things. These things however annoying they are need to be done and myself and they team need to adhere and follow them. Both Sony and Microsoft are excited to get this game out too, so try and relax a bit while I take on the stress of making sure all T's are crossed and i's are dotted! When we get that the release dates confirmed the release is very close after, it won't be a month or two like a reail game which is nice, but we have these closer to release confirmation dates. Everything has its pros and cons.

And remeber, we aren't hiding anything from you, even if it feels that way. Except the pet Alien I have in my Storage space!

I respect this post.. Flat out and real. I am just happy you brought back traditional conquest to the fore front of a BF game.

I thought that meant you guys already knew the date. Oh well, I know the game isn't too far off. Maybe not next week like I predicted, but should be coming sometime this month. July 8th/9th anyone?

EDIT: Wait, lalala. I just checked the other thread and apparently EA said it was the 9th. So, lalala. I thought Gordon said they didn't have a date. OMGZ HE LIED 2 US! <_<

I bet that GVD didn't lied. Ea may have lied. Think that Dice is it who is making release date sure with Sony and MS. So i think that GVD knows real release date before EA.

This is the first game release that has used twitter as a source of information (because its new) for me, and from the looks of it, twitter has been nothing but bad news. Twitter allows the people at dice to give information that most likely doesnt have to go through the higher ups, so it leads to false information/shattered hopes. IMO this is due to them wanting more followers, and it also allows them to post something to the public when it pops in there head, not allowing them to think it through

All that says is Coral Sea starts the 9th, but that has nothing to do with anything since that is wrong too, the plan is to start the Coral Sea challenge on the Friday of release week to ensure both consoles have an even start to reach 43 million. So that means the 9th is wrong and so is EA. DICE, Sony, and Microsoft are working towards dates and they will coincide with their normal release windows. That means we release on Xbox on Wednesday, PS3 on Thursday, and Coral Sea kills start tracking Friday. Since news sites now track my comments here I need to be very careful what I say and this is all I can say on this, but I will say we are working to release it ASAP because I need a Lalalala vacation!

I see now, drats...

But PS3 on a Thursday? I sometimes wonder if people make that extra effort to flip the birdie at the PS3 XD.

Lalala = New internet meme? I hope so.

So if 9th is wrong, it's either 1st/2nd or 15th/16th? 15th/16th would suck. Can't wait that long...

Stupid lalalalaing EA marketing people and their poorly worded monthly news letters! Hope you can take a vacation SOON, like starting next week.

Maybe the week before the nearest Friday to the 9th will be the week where the day before the PS3 version would be released, and the day before that the 360 version.

Yes, I purposely make that complicated.

Anyway, I have to also compliment DICE. This is their first time doing anything like this, and they are trying their best to not build us up and let us down.

Yay Gordon replied to me with an informative post!

And I was jking about you lying. My god even EA is messing up with the release date now. And Gordon, the newsletter doesn't say July 9th is for Coral Sea, it says the game hits XBL and PSN on July 9th. How the heck could EA mess up this badly if that really isn't the release date? This is all so confuzzling. I don't even know who I can trust anymore. How do I even know you're the real GVD huh? HUH? Maybe it's your alien posting from your account...

EA are a complete mockery now..
they fail so badly that i dont even understand how they are still in existance but then again no EA = no awsome games made by DICE = sad people :/

Also i was thinking about who the hell is incharge of the EA marketing/newsletter team? is it the fake gustav's who have stiked again? or is it this alien you speak of gordon xD.

anyway o/*\o (high five) to the DICE team for keeping us infromed the whole time

Ok, the 9th is a Thursday.
If Coral Sea were to start the nearest Friday, it would start on Friday the 10th.
Then that would mean that Battlefield 1943 would come out on that Wednesday the 8th for the 360, and the PS3 would be the 9th, the Thursday.

Either that, or the game could come out on the 15th for 360, 16th for the PS3 and Coral Sea would start on the 17th.
