Proof of release on 25. June

Hi there,

on the back of the german gamesTM magazine which came out this week the print advertisement for Battlefield 1943 shows the release date: 25. June

It all fits in aswell as the 25th is on a Thursday.

Well, here's the cover shot, should be enough...

Actually gamesTM is originally an UK magazine and this is the german magazine.

maybe they just put july 1st to cover their butts. But maybe it can be activated on june 25th. Id try it then never know.

Nothing special.. "Nur 12,99" = Only 12,99. That's the price on psn.

good question! I know when PS3 and xbox live games are released, xbox usually gets them on wenesday and PSN thursday

Although it is encouraging to see. I wouldn't take the 25th as 100% guaranteed. That is probably the target date for release but considering the game went final build yesterday and that magazine was most likely printed last week....it is just a guestimate not than a fact.

I agree as well. The final build still has to be passed along by MS and Sony. Hopefully, according to other threads, the team has got there stuff together and it will get final approval from both the first time through!

Tis true, if the game only JUST hit certification entry theres no way that magazine could have knew a 100% accurate date.

Its possible it was passed on as a "projected" date.

I would have to say a little before that. I don't think it will take 21+ days to reach certification. (they said it was complete june 4)

The only thing i see wrong with this......GVD just found out yesterday at 2AM that the game was finished and was ready to be sent in for certification. So how could this magazine know before DICE even knows? Is this a legit release date? No. Until we hear it from DICE. All dates will remain rumors. Sorry.

Also....MS/Sony certification takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

HAHAHA... wishfull thinking that's all. Good find though.

If they would have got the game done and certified sooner then they would have announced the 25th to release it. BUT...They lagged so it truly is out of their hands ATM and I'm sure if they get it back before then it will still be the official date.
