does anybody know if all the maps have the same amount/type of vehicle's? i.e do they all have planes? or is there a map which has no vehicle's? Not that i want a BF game without vehicle's because thatl be boaring!! just curious though.

I think they all have 5 planes (2 per side +1 on a capturable airfield), and the same tanks and jeeps, qty of tanks and jeeps might differ though...

yah, I know that the 2 maps they have released vids for have 5 planes each, so I am guessing the third will as well.... I don't know the map at all though since I never played 1942... if it had planes in 1942 it will in 1943 for sure.

Even 2/3 wouldn't be bad though.

But yah, I just hope n00bs dont RPG you as you try to take off cause you got to it first

I can see it as a very bad thing that the infantry class has the wrench and the bazooka... people stealing vehicles will get ugly. (it's the vehicle driver class, AND the anti vehicle class LOL)

Of course, planes auto repair when landed on the carrier, so you don't need to be infantry, you can be riflemen or sniper and still repair

IF there are 5 planes, wouldn't that create an imbalance or is it like when you take over the airfield, you get a plane from your army?

^ LOL

Not many games run on Linux... shame really. But understandable, it's got the smallest market share, with the most complications, and all the varying distros would make it hell on the developer.

All maps have an extra plane somewhere. The extra plane only spawns when someone takes the base so if you're team gets their first you can have an extra plane. Now someone can steal it of course but then if your team owns the flag you can spawn there and access it faster. The extra plane actually helps manage stalemates (2 vs 2 endless airchases) and there are AA guns to counter.

How much damage does a rifle grenade do to a plane Sibben?

hi all. after many years enjoying bf'42 and bfv on the pc, bf2 kinda lost the plot a bit then bf2142 was just too far. what a lot of gamers are waiting for is a true replacement to bf'42. is it not possible to do a full rebuild of '42 with the new engine. as in all the maps etc. after bf'42 alot of clans lost members due to lack of support for bfv and no true replacement for '42.

Hi, I still have a few questions.
*Will PC edition of BF1943 have DirectX 11 codes ported?
*Are the carriers destructible? If it is destroyed, how can the soldiers respawn?
*Do the Japanese soldiers speak Japanese?
*A interwiew with EA DICE some time earlier said that future battlefield games may borrow action element ideas from Mirror’s Edge, what about BF1943?

* DX11 ... uhm.. BFBC2 is DX11-ready. Don't think BF1943 will have this included, as BFBC2 is developed on a more advanced Version of the Frostbite Engine (i may be wrong)

* Carriers are not destructible.

* japanese .. hm... as 1942 had japanese soundfiles, this should be the case

* maybe this was directed to bf games even more "in the future"
