Default 1943 website feedback

Hi Everyone,

So you're probably bored with the trailer and screens on our 1943 website by now and thinking, "What will we see next"?

Besides than adding more videos and screens, what do you expect from the 1943 website, especially after the game is live?

Hmmm... I can think of two off hand.
Stats would be nice; for those that like to track them; after it goes live.
Game info like descriptions for vehicles, weapons, maps, etc., etc.,.

Well I hope theres going to be a statistics section just like the BFBC website. Maybe you could put up some indepth information on the site about the weapons and vehicle's used in game be kind of cool to know more about what your using.

I loved the stats in the BF:BC's website

To tell you the truth I eventually (and still do) have like a "battle room" where I would plan out my next moves and stuff like that.

Also on the side note I thought it was really cool how you can switch the American and Japanese soldiers on the site. It would be cool if you added the sniper to each of those

Keep up the good work!! you guys are my favorite game creators

Well, like it was already said, a stats- section would be really nice.
I really wish, that there could be something like a real clanbase - that means: Each clan can register there, and all member have acces to sort of an "Clan- Channel" where they can chat etc., and plan tactics or whatever.
And it would be pretty easy to organize wars etc. with that function - each clan registering there could join sort of a ladder with other clans. Would be great for the community, I think.

I mean: This would be really cool, in order to make people play the game really a long time - not in order to become Soupreme Commander like in BF2142 [--> Look at all those statspadders and hackers due to this], but to play as a clan and to have fun - always competition and fun.

But: Just a nice idea and my two cents....

What sort of features would make you want to login, if you can see stats without logging in?

Stats in a dump on request via XML

That way we can put our stats up on clan sights

log in for photos, achievements etc. maybe something new.

I would definitely sign up and log in if we could have a feature like Steam Pages.

Hm, actually, I have a question. Does 1943 support Photomode? And if so, would you say it's been improved from Bad Company's Photomode? I was honestly disappointed with the photomode in BFBC. Deleting a saved photo made it go back to Unsaved? Really?

I'd like to see detailed information about classes, weapons, maps, and vehicles. And - in addition - a section with fansite kits. I use plural because there should be more than one. A basic kit with graphics to create a header or graphic, and a second one that includes all the named stuff. There is a huge amount of fansites out there that use t create own sections and descriptions for all the stuff

There's no unlocks, if that's what you're hinting at.

Oops, sorry

EDIT:
After game is live:
Stats, patches, some kind of blog to notify the players about cool news (mods for example).

Hello,

So we will have stats, but not the dynamic sigs (Sorry! it is a cool idea, maybe for later).

A fansite kit isn't planned (it's not really a web feature) although I understand the desire for one.

A stats xml output... hmm. I kind of want to avoid having players go to other websites for stats.

After the game goes live: balance everything out (if it hasn't already) - fix bugs and then make extra downloadable content (maps, factions, features).

I know you guys want to make this a small game, but what is 350 mb nowadays? Nothing. Even if the game was 1 GB it can be downloaded within 20 minutes.
