Online Co-Op problem

Hi,
Me and my friend are trying to start a new campaign together online. But we can't seem to connect to each other. Any tips ?

We bought the game at the same shop and are located few blocks from each other...

use the private co_op instead of public co-op.only thing is i use to have same problem.

Thank you for the reply. Yes we started by trying the private one then we also tried public but neither would work. Do you know what solved your problem in the past ?

the thing that sported out was te ports in router the should be in game manual,also try see if you can connect to each other in other ea games.
