Discuss the new quickmatch patch

Thanks for the quickmatch patch.

How is everyone finding it??

If you don't know... its basically been patched up so that it now tells you how many players the search has found, so you have a rough idea of how things are going behind the scenes.
I am not sure if there are any other invisible changes under the hood.

I tried it out last night for the first time when i got in at 1.30am GMT and was pretty impressed. I found three other players pretty quickly!
Its really good to see that the search has found other players and how many others there are so thanks for the fix.

I would like to know if anything else has been tweaked...???
The game i found came along pretty quick and was incredibly smooth (lag free)
Could have just been coincidence though and i fully intend to test it as much as possible over the weekend

I STILL am convinced that the search breaks down a bit after your first match.
I found my first game very very quickly.... but after that it only found 1 or 2 other people.... it might just have been the time i was on... but it does seem to happen this way all the time.

All in all though a much needed improvement to the feedback.

if I'm not asked to work tomorrow which I'm fully expecting to unfortunately then I'll give it a test too. sounds promising at last!

Yeah it was on the xbox, but it might be on the PS3 too.
You know if you have it because now in the quickmatch screen it shows you how many players it has found.

Well i 'tested' it out over the weekend and got five hours solid game play in which is pretty good.
It still does take time to find all players though, but at least you know how well its doing so i just read a book while waiting :-)

Still a bit quirky though. Sometimes the room fills to 3 and then drops back to 1 constantly.
Other times it will be just 1 or 2 players for AgES... so i quit out.... then try again and it finds a full game instantly.

That sucks. I wonder why not.
Its really sorted things out for me on xbox. I have the week off and have been playing solidly and pretty much any time of day or night have been able to find games pretty easily :-)
This makes me very happy indeed.

I played my first ever Vs game on Ao2 before after trying out the 2 new campaign maps. I thought it was the worst online game i've ever played.

There was a delay between me moving the stick and my character aiming. Therefore it was impossible to aim at enemies and so I died repeatedly. No online game i've ever played has had that.

I won't ever play it online again.

Edit: Oh, and it took me about 10-15 mins to get into a game as well.

that sounds like one of the 4 players were really lagging.. it could of possibly been you or not. what are you like for your other games do they lag?

All other online games are fine. In fact i've been playing the hell out of the Battlefield BC demo the past 2 days with no lag whatsoever.

i finally downloaded the veteran map and the new patch. the quickmatch is better than the past version but it still better if this game has a lobby system.
