Default Region Locked? Dear GOD whos idea was that?

WHY Would someone suggest, "LETS MAKE ARMY OF TWO ONLINE REGION LOCKED", thats not even the half of it, someone must of actually agreed to this?! I cannot see the benefits of region locking an online game... To eliminate possible lag? Make it like fifa where you can select your own country, europe, or america etc.

How hard can it be? I have played 1 online game so far, and that was brilliant.

We need some patches or I will be returning this game.

I'm not actually sure why the game was region locked for online play, but I imagine that it would be to eliminate latency issues when people play with other people from around the world. I appreciate that this isn't ideal and I will relay the communities opinions of this back to the developers.

That's a great suggestion; I'll make sure to pass it on, too.

Reducing server loads may be a viable excuse, but there ISN'T a single online game on the PS3 or 360 that has region locked the servers - Not Halo, not Call of Duty - and none of them suffered for having no region limitations.

But what annoys me the most is not so much that there is a region lock in place (though that has me extremely gutted), but that there is NO INFORMATION to the consumer that this is the case when they're forking over their £50 for the game. This is no better than a gross lie and abuse of consumers' trust. Trading Standards are going to have a field day with this one.

We should have the choice whether we want to play with people from other countries.

Personally i would have just given the customer a standard lobby/server list that indicates ping. quick match takes about 15 minutes to find a game.

Lol, to have stable online experience? This is the most laggy game I have ever played. If it is this bad with europe, wonder how it would be around the globe.

GG EA, why can you never get your servers right? I have never ever seen a company struggle as much with servers as you guys do, and you are the biggest game publishers there are. SPEND SOME MORE MONEY ON QUALITY, and stop being so greedy
