Some of the stages could use a bit more creativeness. Tribe is dull and boring, the most creative thing you can do is change outfits.
Weapon editing, building editing, heck, even changing tactics from the mindless CHEARG it is now would vastly improve Tribal stage. You don't feel much of a connection with the Tribal stage. The Civ stage vehicles are underwhelming though, as all the parts do th same thing, but improve the vehicle just a bit more depending on the part. If you could make your own it would be nice. Here were my general feelings on the stages-
Cell- Here is a cell that I made myself. I am proud of it
Creature- Here is my mighty creature. I'm happy with how it looks
Tribal- Here is my Tribe. I dressed them up and am now ordering them around. *sigh*
Civ- Here is my city. I built most of it myself. The vehicles are my own creation. The economy is my own creation. I like it, but it could be polished a but more....
Space- Here is my great and mighty Space Empire. I terraformed these planets. I conquered these planets. I colonised these planets. I am happy.
