Completely off topic, i know, but i've been reading the back-story in the ME comics. Sadly, nothing that could point to 88.7 or what/who it is. Its mostly about Faith's family. The art is sometimes a bit...>.<... but all in all, its an ok comic. i've seen worse. I've got some random stuff, but here is what i've got:
First of all, all of the 'best black market survailence equipment that money can buy' was built by Drake. Just wanted to add that in

Mercury used to be married. Didn't know that before.
A runner/tracker called Leaf taught Faith how to fight.
When Runners transport information and objects, they never know what's inside, and if they do see, they're told to forget.
Faith's eye tattoo is seen on Merc's left shoulder in the comic.
New character, Sebastian Silvine (of Silvine Security systems, or SSS, they provide over half of the city's security systems) commisioned photos to be taken of Abraham. Why is never resolved (that is one flaw in R. Pratchett's story writing style.)
Faith's parents are Abraham and Erika Conners. Abraham was a docter turned politicion and Erika worked in electronics. You know how parents usually favor one child over another? This happened with Faith and Kate too. Faith = Erika's favorite
Kate = Abraham's favorite.
Austen Reynolds (another character, was friends with Abraham and took part in protests) had an affair with Erika. He also wants to shoot Abraham because Austen thinks that everything is his fault.
Faith's family fell into debt when Abraham became a protester, and left his job. Erika took on extra work to keep the debts at bay, but Abraham never knew.
I think that i've worked out what the story-significance of Faith's arm tattoo is, too. The image on her arm is kinda pixilated. (i have an image of the actual tattoo that i found, and i can take pictures from the comic, if you want, just ask and i'll upload them). Its also very simelar to a circuit board that belonged to Erika Conners. I think that Faith had the design tattooed on her arm so that she had something that her mom created with her, literally forever.
The afore mentioned circuit board was something that Erika had been commisioned to do by SSS. I think that it lead to the servers in the shard, but i don't pretend to understand the explanation in the comic, so i'll quote:

Yeah, Faith gave back that super technology to the security firm. It would explain the servers and how they were created.
One simerality between the game and comic is that the ending is a bit... for a lack of a better phrase... a flop. Its a good thing that i'm obssesed with the game's controls then!
