I agree, there has to be some follow-on for pope's murder. We know the who's and the why's now, but something about it feels...unfinished. I don't understand about Kate being the refrence, though. Thats why i put no anootations on that line, because i don't know who it could be referencing (merc, celeste or kate would be my top bets out of known characters) I think that it has something to do with another character (or possibly object, like a locket with pictures of Faith's mother in) that we havn't met, but knew Faith (most likely when she was a petty thief, so between the ages of 16 and 21. That's quite a timespan - that could be a story in itself.) And that person/object was taken away from her... or something...

Possibly. It could be an idea. The November Riots havn't been given much meat to pick at. That and the fact that Faith ran away from home and her father. Her mother's death was collaterol, i think - i don't think that she was planned to be killed although it is possible, as Faith's parents DID do a lot of damge to the governments ideals and campaighns.
Let's think about this then. What do we know about the cause of the November riots?
What i know is that people opposed the gradual march towards totalaliorism (i know, i can't spell it) and 'organised protests, lobbied the mayor, took me and kate on marches,' (Faith says this in game). It all seems as if it were done peacefully. So why did it turn into a riot? Did some over-enthusiastic protester bring a gun and let a shot off? Did the police just open fire, or took the marchers to be a threat to some high-up official who was near by (like callaghan) Saying that, did Callaghan mastermind it from the background, planning that some kind of accident would happen and advising the units about it so that they would retaliate? Was the fact that this happened in November signifficant? To show the decline of November (the helpers for the runners), and how the government were solwly getting the upper hand?
In truth, who know at this point?
EDIT - I came across the comic version of the game whilst i was browsing the 'net. From the sounds of it, it does go into certain aspects of the back story of faith - mainly her parents by the sound of it. I'm interested, so i'll see what i can find.
