Moyes’ first club that he managed was Preston North End, at that that time the club were struggling at the bottom of league 2 , going in and out of the Relegation zone. He Managed to avoid getting relegated and next season they reached the Play-offs but failed to win them. The next season he won the title and gained them promotion to Division 1. He made it to the division 1 play-offs with mostly the same squad as the start but he lost in the final of the play-offs.
