why did this lag start around the same time for all of us ? it did not start gradually. it kicked in like someone had flicked a switch and we all joined this growing thread at around the same point. is it just coincidence that suddenly all of our connections turned sour on us at the same time and for only 1 game, FIFA 09 ?
Because it happened around the same time its safe to say a couple of things:

Network and or connections are a major factor. Regardless of speed or bandwidth the simple fact that continuity or QoS are not mutually exclusive to faster BB.

The game now runs with patched code.

High pressure will give a team an advantage in less than ideal connections. This is because your AI will be in more threatening positions which is why they seem to pick up the rebounds and miss passes.

I have to say that any issues I was experiencing are now the exception instead of the rule that they were.
