The lag i experience while playing is less than 0,5-1 second. However, that specific lag is what's killing me 9 times of 10. You all know it, you walk around a corner, and OH MY GOD... ENEMY, 12 o'clock!
You have you're smg or shotgun, you shoot him in the face or torso, from maybe 6 feet away, but YOU die.
Human reaction time is about 1 second, so from that moment you see the enemy, it will take you at least 1 second to react. If you're robbed of that one second due to lag, the enemy will have 2 seconds to react. So even if you think you hit him, you've been dead for 1 second.
This is also why it's smart to run up to someone and knife him, even if he can see you, you have 1 or 2 seconds before he retaliates.
