Thanks for bringing that up. I will go ahead and add this to the main post.

Their are some options in the router that will cause you to need to reset your modem. It should be said that if your internet goes down when doing something in the router that you should unplug your modem for a little bit to rest it to see if it comes back up. If it does not rest your routers settings back to default then rest the modem and router again.

For those that are not comfortable with router settings then I suggest that you do not try such things until you get more use to it. Maybe read up on it a bit until you think that you are ready.

And like I said earlier. That is may not help everyone plus it may be a little different for other brands of routers. This is just an example for others to use if they are willing to try and find out if their issues are on their end and if they can fix it them selves.
