I think there should be a sort of online co-op mode.

You and your friends are Runners in a mostly free-roaming City. The different game modes are things like Delivery (deliver a package), Escape (escape the pursuing cops), Race (speaks for itself), etc.

Imagine it:

You stand on a rooftop. You look over and see your buddy standing on a ledge a bit higher. The cops are closing in on you. You use VOICE CHAT to tell him to take the bag on ahead, while you hold them off. You PASS THE BAG to him and he runs off, and you disarm as many cops as you can. You eventually run off and meet up with him, he PASSES the BAG back to you, and you go ahead into the target's home while he guards the exit. After it's delivered, you both need to GET BACK TO BASE without getting killedby the cops (still after you).

Whadda ya think?
