After losing to Saint Etienne in their opening pre-season match, Boro' will surely be going for a win this time. Their performance last season was not what they expected and they will be more focused on this match. They definitely won't want deja vu this season.

Lille OSC
Looking to work their way back into the top three in Ligue 1, Lille will be coming out strong this year to get back into the UEFA Champions League this year. The team is looking sharp ahead of the game and won't take Middlesbrough for granted. They may have a point to prove to English teams after they were knocked out of the Champions League by now European Champions Manchester United in the 2006/2007 season.
