Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell interview
BBC: First of all Dave, I would like to thank you for accepting to do an interview with us.
DM: It is my pleasure to be here.

BBC: Let's get on with the questions. How do you feel about the alliance with Bolton Wanderers?
DM: I am delighted because even though in England Bolton could be considered to be a small club, comparing to us they're big. I am delighted that our club can secure an alliance with a club with such high calibre.
BBC: But as far as I know though, Perth Glory has been in alliance with another Premier League side, Manchester City am I correct?
DM: Yes that is correct.
BBC: So why switch to Bolton when right now Manchester City looks like they will only keep improving with their unlimited amount of cash?
DM: I do agree on the fact that they have a lot of money, but the money is theirs, not ours. Even if we are in alliance with them, we do not get some of the money.
BBC: So what made your club chose Bolton then?
DM: Bolton offered us a deal which is they'll play a friendly with us every year and that they'll send scouts to some of our matches. If one of our lads play well then he very well have a chance to be brought on trial or even on loan at Bolton. This benefits our players and our club because we hope to have a lot of fans in our stadium for the Bolton vs Perth Glory friendlies every year.

BBC: So which players from the Glory squad do you think would make the squad for Bolton?
DM: I would say Nikita Rukavytsya, Nikolai Topor-Stanley and Jamie Harnwell all have the quality to make the squad for Bolton.
BBC: Can you describe those players for our readers?
DM: Not a problem. Nikita is a terrific striker who has a lot of pace and a great scoring record. During the last eight games of 2007-08, he scored six goal. Not a bad goal ratio I must say. He has already been on trial with Hannover 96 so it won't be first time the lad has gone on trial for a bigger club than us.
Nikolai is a great side back who can also play center-back. He is a great defender who very rarely loses his position and let people go past him. He is also the most consistent player for my team I must say.
Jamie Harnwell is a great player who can play both striker and centre-back and would still give you quality games. Because he's tall he can create chances for other attackers as well.
BBC: One last question Dave: Why didn't you mention Amaral?
DM: *Laughs* I know you are going to ask that. Amaral has been through a long career already and now he just wants to settle down in a club as far as I know. However, if he does indeed want to leave the club, I won't stop him.
BBC: Thank you for your time Dave and I hope your club performs well in the A-League this year.
DM: It is an honor
