Has Dice taken into account with this patch what players that play Battlefield competatively want? All the previous patches have seemed to have been catered towards "pubbers" and although they're the largest market i think the fact that battlefield is generally considered a joke to competative gamers has a negative impact on the franchise as a whole. BF2 has been dropped from most major leagues like CAL and TGL and only resides in more fringe leagues like TWL and ESL. Many issues like the cone of fire making the aim nearly rediculous, especially when combined with packet loss, seems to reward players on luck more than skill. Removing the ability to shoot while jumping, Uneven spawn locations, glitches like nades not affecting you when your head is in a barrier and you're on some health packs. Every patch has seen the game get more restricted and now is actually laughed at in leagues.
