I have to disagree with you Thade. William Gallas is A LOT worse that many of give him credit for. Sure he scores the occasional goal, but ever since he left Chelsea under Mourinho he has not been as sound defensively and gets worse each season. Gallas is not good enough to wear an Arsenal shirt and if you think he is then something is wrong.
Right about now I am wishing we would have signed Vincent Kompany because even though he is another young player with not a lot of experience, he couldn't do much worse than Gallas has and he would continue to get better rather than worse as the case is with Gallas.
Gallas is not to blame completely though, we haven't had any production from the midfield this season, Cesc is looking burned out and aside from Nasri and Theo the rest of our midfield has been horrible at best. Denilson shows promise, but I don't see him really shining until nexy season at the soonest.
Right now we are in a world of hurt and need to have something good happen or else everything is going ot slip away from us and we will be looking at just fighting for 3rd and 4th rather than a title.
