None of the players you mentioned were in the prime and none of them were young.
Arsenal has NEVER sold a player that was young an in his prime other than Anelka and he HAD to leave the club because he was a cancer.
Marc Overmars played 97 games for Barcelona over 4 seasons and was never as good as he was for Arsenal. We bought him for £5M and sold him for £25.5M so that was just good old fashion excellent business. He average 33 games a year for Arsenal and 24 games a year for Barcelona. He played in three less games for Barcelona despite being there 1 full season longer and scored 10 less goals, hardly what I would call prime.
Petit left us after three successful seasons and went to Barca where he bombed and ended up back at Chelsea where he wasn't nearly as good as he was with Arsenal. Petit was not in his prime either.
Bottom line stop thinking you know anything about ARsenal or football outside of Italy for that matter because the more you talk the more you look like a fool because you don't know what you are talking about.
Before you try to call anyone a platform club you need to take a look at your own club.
