Well, first of all, let me just say, this tweaking of pace thru attributtes does make a heck-of-a-lot difference gameplaywise.
I tweaked Ac Milan, Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid. I cannot express you enough how these games are interesting now, guys. I played Real - Chelsea, Chelsea - Milan, Milan - Arsenal etc. Almost all combinations, 8 minutes halves, on world class, and each and every game ended up 0 - 0.
I cannot believe the amount of struggle once you create more space in the game. You have time of the ball, and thus AI has more time to "think" and react to your actions. It was almost impossible to penetrate thru the defence of the cpu. And ive tried various types of attack. But the good think about this is that now i have to think more, and come up with new ideas.
But important thing along with this is that, you have to work out good CPU custom tactics, so that you create a challenging opponent, so basicly, these two COME TOGETHER. They cannot go one without the other. Tactics + reduced pace.
These last day i have been working out to develop IDENTICAL tactics for TOP teams that matches their real life play exactly. And this is super interesting and realistic. For example, AC Milan in real life has a style of play with a lot of defending, while they try to do various types of counterattacks. So I made custom tactics for their style of play. Same I did with Real Madrid. Real has kind of open play, spreading attacks throughout the field, attacking thru wings, and thats how made Real's tactics.
Result - Absoulutely realistic, unscripted and fun.
Gamepace overall is slower, teams build up SO MUCH MORE, 80 percent of the gameplay is performed in midfield, the struggle is top class. No Easy through in, no nothing. Plain old genuine soccer.
I would recommend anyone to go ahead and try this, because it only gets better, guys, believe me.
