The editing of player attributes is independent of the custom tactics set ups. The former is at player level and the latter is at team level. To answer your question, my gameplay uses my own custom tactics set up that had suggested in one of the earlier threads.
In fact, with this slowed down realistic version of the game, the formation and custom tactics are a whole lot more meaningful. Please do try this and let me know.
