Barton and Smith 100% Staying

Joey Barton and Alan Smith staying at Newcastle

Newcastle United manager have once again been interviewed by the press today and he confirmed that both Joey Barton and Alan Smith will be staying at Newcastle United.

He said

"Joey is a fantastic player, he is a player who can change the game completely"

"What he did outside the pitch affected his reputation but I am sure he is not a long way from gaining respect from fans around the world"

"What he said to the press recently proved that he is looking to change himself, he has matured and now committed to Newcastle United which is a great thing, because I am sure he is in the league which Gerrard and Lampard is in, if the fans give him time and believe in him, he will be representing England"

Newcastle United manager believes that not only he can gain respect from the fans but can also make it into the England team. He also gave a brief speak about the goal-shy Alan Smith.

He said

"Alan Smith just need a little bit of confidence until the goals start coming from him, he is a great striker and everyone knows that, but he was used in different positions almost every game which really affects him"

"I see Alan as a striker, a very good striker. I am not going to sell him because I know I will regret once he start scoring for another club. He will be a deadly asset for us once he scores his first goal"

It seems like Newcastle United boss - Ketsbaia, have a lot of faith in both of those players and hopefully it turns out how Ketsbaia wants it to be.
