I did try it at one of my friends and i have been badly dissapointed, lot's off errors(probably only edition made for eastern europe), no real feeling, to easy to score even in world class championship, so my oppinion is that i've "trown my money out trough the window" Shame that EA Sports makes a joke out of their costumers.
Hi and welcome. If you've bought the game mainly for online, you're spot on. If not, have a look at these threads, they do help and massively improve the offline game and two player offline as well:

Must have patches/mods for Fifa 09

I found the fix for the stamina/sprinting bug!!!

Online, on the other hand is FUBAR.

Unfortunately, the only level that offers a challenge is Legendary mode (and legendary keepers, you need both). Anything below that is far too easy.

As for online authentication, it's the way of things these days. I hate it, too. When Half Life 2 came out, I couldn't play it because I didn't have the 'net and the 'offline fix' didn't work. We can thank the pirates who hacked into Half Life 2 before it was ready and Valve for over reacting for this online authentication rubbish.
