I used to use that a lot when friends came round. It's something I miss too. It gets a bit tedious having to play the 'games' like skins instead.
I also miss the sponsorships. It was good fun having to decide what equipment to use in a round; do I play the round and get more sponsorship money or do I use the best equipment I can?
To be honest, after this release it doesn't matter. I (and my friends) won't be buying it again. The game is now just mutton dressed up as lamb. Looks great but the gameplay is poor. I wish I still had my old x-box, at least the gameplay was decent.
After 3 days the disk went back in its box. I doubt it will ever be used by me again. Being honest, I detest this version. Shoddy programming from an obvious lack of respect for the buying public. I don't just want eye candy. I want a golf game to actually plays as a golf game.
Whilst it was fun in the past, it's now had it's time. With EA at the helm there is no chance of it ever reviving either. Do us all a favour, let it die in peace.
