The totally unrealistic driving distances make the game a bit of a joke. I played a round a Wolf Creek today. I drove the greens, and eagled, every par 4 as well as driving 2 of the par 5s.
You really need to make it so that the maximum distances that any club can hit is more nearly the same as what would happen in real golf. According to the power attribute, my average driving distance is 392 yards. You have to agree that this is just fantasy and nothing at all to do with golf.
There also seems to have been some changes to the putting difficulty. You can really slam a ball into the hole and it will drop. There should be a bit more sensitivity in the hole to allow for balls that are hit too hard to bounce out of the hole.
In the different hardness levels there does not seem to be any great effect on the game other than not having the 3 click swing, spin control or the putt preview. The game should be harder in these levels. Slice and Hook should be more sensitive etc.
On the other hand, there are things that make the game impossible at times. The amount of effect the wind has on a ball is very variable. Sometimes you need to allow 4 yards per MPH of headwind, and at other times the wind seems to have virtually no effect on the ball. It can be very annoying if you are on a really good round on the daily only to drop short into the water because an 8 mph wind knocks 60 yards off of a 200 yard iron shot. The same goes for side winds.
The game has many good points, but is let down by these, and other, shortcommings.
