Sims1 Junkie - excited about Sims3?
Hi all, I'm new here, but I just wanted to add my thought and feelings about Sims1 Sims2 and the arrival of Sims3.... and it would be interesting to know how you feel about it too.....
ME:
Well, I have played Sims1 since the beginning, and I have built my community over the years (about 8 years to be precise) and love my sim creations like they were my own children and ‘me’ living the life I would love in reality.
A few of my friends ridicule me for being a Sims1 addict . They are Sims2 players and they say that it is boring and limited, unlike Sims2…. But I never quite understood what the big deal was with Sims2.
I bought the Sims 2 when it launched a few years ago, and to be honest I never really got to grips with it. I was so used to just downloading items and hacked objects and using cheats from the internet and building homes, stores, parks and restaurants like crazy for my Sim1’s that Sims2 seemed really complicated without any of these extras.
Maybe I was being a bit thick , but I couldn’t even afford to buy a refrigerator for my house let alone even feed my Sims if I had bought one and so, after 4 hours of stressing out, I put the disk back in the box, stuck it on my shelf and basically it’s gathered dust there ever since! So it was back to the Sims1 for me!
Now, after so many years playing it, I kind of understand that it is pretty limited in the game, once you’ve built your dream house, got great friends, trained all your pets, been on vacation several hundred times, married a few times killing at least 3 of your ex-husbands, had one of your children carted off to military camp, harvested your millionth carrot and toadification spelled all your nasty neighbours while eating your 100th fairy cake there’s not much else to do……
So, I am excitedly awaiting the launch of Sims 3 in February.
I have to say that it looks great. It looks brilliantly created and more real life than ever before. I am looking forward to buying it and hopefully sticking with it for as long as the Sims1 has entertained me.
Are you looking forward to it – fellow Sims1 gamers??
Thanks
Tor
