welll it does work, we have played for a few hours last night and we were connected online. Not really sure about how and when you can play with others, we think when you get a airship you can fly to other players but so far its really fun to play single so we didnt bother about it. I will buy mine tomorrow so will test some more.
Cool thing is we played around with the save game and it was simple to backup the save and move it to another installtion so i will just continue
