Wrong. It disables securoms need to activate spore in doing so it removes the need for the dvd. He can install another game using securom and be fine. When a patch comes out he doesn't have to update at that very moment he could just wait for a new crack which there will be. He could just reinstall the game then patch then crack again, really isn't a hassle.
But yeah I agree he wasted all that time downloading the whole thing when he could of just got the file separately.
