Going back to the registry, i've done another serach and found the CD-Key in there, so that's likely a red herring too.
LeeMortis is right, they need to make an official announcement and get as big a team as possible working in fixing this right now. Despite the fact people can get on and play fine, others (us) can't... and we paid the same as them, if not more (for GE version) and feel pretty much like we're getting screwed over.
