Yeah, seems there are plenty of us having this problem. And while I'm happy to see EA_Omni working on this and letting us know little tidbits every here and there, his constant use of "I can log in", "I have tried" and whatever, makes me wonder if he is the one and only person looking into this which would pretty much eliminate any chances of this issue being resolved within a week.
As many as there are who apparently have this problem it would be in EA's best interest to put as large a team on this issue as possible to fix it ASAP.
Not only that - where is any official announcement of this problem? How can they NOT put up some news somewhere, informing the public of what is going on and assuring us they are working on getting it fixed asap.
Now - lots of gamers out there don't hang out in forums, or would even know how to access them. Where are they going to find out what's going on?
Not that these forums give us a lot of information - this is the one place (and I've searched high and low) where any EA representative has uttered a single sentence as to this problem.
Official Spore website... not a peep (except of course a roar from unhappy customers).
I am very disappointed at how this has been handled, and it's now well over 24 hours since I bought the game. I am considering going back to the store, and trade my copy for another one to get a new CD-Key, and see if that would help.
Chances are slim, so I'm not sure that would be worth it either.
