Well this is probably too late for your school project, haha, but I'll answer it anyway.

I am a huge fan of the survival horror genre (Resident Evil, Silent Hill) and the science fiction genre (Halo, Half Life, Mass Effect). This game is one of the few to actually merge the two and for me that's really exciting. It also happens that "The Thing" is one of my favorite movies of all time, and this game seems to draw a great deal of inspiration from that movie. As far as the gameplay is concerned, the extreme sense of isolation and the whole feeling of having no idea of what is going on really sets the mood and pulls you into the story. Also, the complete lack of a heads up display and a game-pausing inventory system makes the game feel much more realistic. In my opinion a great game is one that pulls you in and can actually get an emotional reaction out of you (in this case... getting the **** scared out of you! haha). So answering your question about what exactly it is about the game I like (story, gameplay, graphics, etc), I would say that it's hard to answer that question before the game is actually released, but in my opinion they are all equally important and so far they all look promising.
