why are you so against this?
you don't have to pay. Ea are offering to keep stats up to date. wasnt it less than a year ago, EVERYBODY was complaining about how overrated barcelona was. This is a near fool proof way of stopping this from happening.
Oh wait, are you all just afraid that you might have to adapt your online play from week to week with different teams/players instead of using the same old beefed up teams and cheating tactics?
