In this forum please post what features you would change or add if you could create your own sims game. If i could I would only change how you build a town. This is how I would do it:

To begin with you name your town, Select terrain (grass, desert, concrete, dirt or even snow/ice) and decide how big it is.
Next you pick a back ground (This could be Hills, A city outline, Or just another town. The background town would be like a town version of an npc. This is how it makes it possible to zoom right out and also add character.
Next can add hills, small mountains, lakes and trees.
Then add man made things like train tracks, tunnels, roads/pavements, and like fountains or statues and things like that.
To add lots it will be like adding squares in a picture on paint. You find a road and create a lot. It will fix it self to the closest road, therefore you can add lots to curved roads.
Finally, design buildings or add pre-made ones
