Cisse's Brace gets Marseille the Win.

In the first 5 minutes of the match Marseille have already put one past Valenciennes. From the kickoff Cisse looks for the back pass and finds Ben Arfa. He then finds Niang with a through ball to the left touch line. Niang cuts inside and slot a ball to Cisse who finishes with a stroke of pure beauty.

At the fifteen minute mark Clich goes in for a hard tackle. Savidan gets hurt on the play and decides he can continue on. That is a tough lad right there everybody.

Five minutes later Niang should have made the score 2-0. He had a prime opportunity with a 1v1 with pressure from behind. He took the shot but ****ed it and it was a slow roller to the keeper.

In the 37th minute Valenciennes have a great chance to tie the score at 1. They get a good cross into the box and the injured Savidan rises up to head it on frame. It goes over the bar by just inches. That has been there best chance so far this match.

Right before half Valenciennes pick up the pressure and have a series of shots on Mandanda. He saves a long range header that was on target to be in the back of the net. On the ensuing corner he makes another stellar save off of a volley from Audel. He parries that out for a corner as well. Finally Marseille clears the ball and the halftime whistle is blown.

Marseilles new signing Ricardo Quaresma then tries a long range bomb from about 30 out. It looks as it will be troubling for Penneteau, but he comes up with the save easily.

What a save by Mandanda!!! Saez gets in a cross from the left side and Pujol is the man to rise above everybody this time. He gets his pointblank header on target and Mandanda comes up with a great reaction save. That could be the save of the year so far.

In the 82nd min Cisse dribbles from midfield and runs down the field with pace. He gets to the top of the arc and takes a ripper with his right foot. It beats Penneteau but not the post. It dinks off the post and into the back of the net to make the score 2-0.

Valenciennes pull one back in the waining minutes of the match though. Saez gets the ball and turns to find Jeovanio running towards goal. His first touch beats Clichy and he cuts back to his left foot and takes a shot from the top of the 18. His shot beat Clichy, Taiwo and Mandanda.

The final whisle is blown right after the kickoff and Marseille win the match 2-1. With two goals coming from Cisse.
