Just try to get on a server where I'm flying the chopper. Nobody ever takes the artillery then, really. And that's the only time I want somebody goes there, so he can remove some of the players, so I don't get shot by 11 enemy and one AA-gun at the same time.
Or just destroy the artillery, if somebody teamkills you for it. Problem solved and everybody can just get on with playing the game.
