When games get patched, you should not have to re-play the game. The patch is intended to work so that, if for example you play FIFA, and there is a trophy for like scoring 50 goals and in your game you have scored 51, it will unlock and you would not have to score another 50.
Smae with Burnout, if there was one for finding all smashes, you are not expected to start over and find every single one again. If you have already found them all, then the trophy will, if the patch works, unlock automatically.
This means that when you start up a patched game, you could end up rising several levels because you unlock so many trophies...

oh i didnt even think of that lol i still have my save/game data so yeah i could do that, only reason i got rid was to raise money on my card to get frontlines..then it only went n got its self canned for ps3 lalalala
