The chants are made much louder, so that they really reverberate round the stadium. Atmosphere varies from stadium to stadium and league to league. The sound level would be lower at a lower league ground, but the atmosphere may be more intense.
When English fans cheer for a goal, they all shout 'YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHH!' When European fans cheer, it sounds markedly different, I suppose they're yelling 'GOOOOOOOL' or something like that. Fifa 09 should reflect that. (What do European fans shout when a goal goes in?)
When the away team scores, you hear them cheer. Especially in the Premiership, you always hear the fans cheer, whether they're the home or away section. It's daft that all you hear is booing when the away team scores.
The pitches need to be a bit wider.
In the appropriate stadiums (such as Premiership ones), the crowd should be right on top of the players. At the moment, there is a certain amount of space behind the goal, at all stadiums.

so many good ideas (and i dont mean just these here, which r all great) r wasted, and it wouldnt be so hard to make them. Reason might be obvious for some, senseless for others.
Btw, I think yes its "Gooooooooooooolllll" for the...
rest of Europe. England is still part of it right ?
