Havant & Waterlooville have today announced that Ian Holloway will take charge of the team from Monday. The very popular 45 year old said he cant stress his delight of taking charge of the club.The chairman had this to say “When Ian and Leicester City parted company we had to pounce on the opportunity, Ian is a great professional with a winning mentality, he will be good for the players and the club, we look forward to working together to get the club into the Blue Square Premier” “ feel free to ask questions”
Reporter 1 “welcome to the club its nice to see you, my first question is Ian why did you choose to take a major step down in coming to Havant”
Holloway “thank you for the welcome, its nice to be here, my answer to your question is, I chose to come down to this level for a challenge”
Reporter 2 “Ian you’ve been given a one year contract, how do you feel about that”
Holloway “The chairman has explained to me that he wants to see how I get on before offering me an extended deal, I’m completely fine with it”
Reporter 3 “Ian has the chairman told you anything about your budget to spend?”
Holloway “We have spoken about this but I don’t wish to tell you, I would prefer to keep that between me and Mr Demott”
Reporter 2 “Ian you have taken a massive cut in wages, from 5 grand a week to a tiny £250 to be precise, does that bother you”
Holloway “no, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I didn’t come here expecting loads of money, like I said im here for the challenge”

Reporter 4 “Ian have you set your self or has the chairman set any targets for the season, and good luck for the future”
Holloway “The chairman hasn’t set any targets, but I want to get this club into the playoffs, thanks, thank you for all of the questions”
