The total lack of support for fansite owners over the past year or so has probably done more to damage this forum than the pointless rule change, of course.
Shame.

I actually agree with you, Speshal, Dbuggy and such on this one. It's pretty pointless having a fansite forum that doesn't allow sites to be posted if they aren't about EA. If we are allowed to show off our creations in our own threads that aren't related to EA then why not websites?
The only reason the rule was enforced was because of people creating "Free forums" spamming the place up. Which is stupid because these were actually related to EA's games. And now it's just created more trouble because people aren't allowed to share their website creations with others, and the community is supposed to be about achievments and such. Infact why not just ban every un-related EA topic because it has nothing to do with EA.

It would be so much easier to create a rule like, No free forums or such. Though that would come a little harsh but it would work
The old forums had a no advertising rule but people were still allowed to post update threads on their sites then.
I've now run out of things to say.
