Please rename your original <SIMS2EP7.exe> (located in the folder C:/Program Files/EA GAMES/The Sims 2 FreeTime/TSBin) to <SIMS2EP7.old>. Then, click on the link below or copy and paste it into your web browser. This will open a blank webpage and a File Download window. From the File Download window click Open, extract the new <SIMS2EP7.exe> into the original's folder and re-start the application.

The link for the new file is:

If the problem persists, please send another analysis file of the latest executable to us.

EDIT: This solution works! I can play The Sims 2 now!! yaaaay!

Sounds like they just got you to crack your legit copy of the sims (all be it in an above board way) haha.

It said "Please insert the orginal disc and not a backup." Now, my BV is the original disc, and it did work on my old computer with Windows ME. So I took BV off and Seasons works just fine. I tried reinstalling it, got the same message, and have since taken it off. When Free Time came out I borrowed a friend's copy just to see if it would work (because I am not paying $30 for something that won't run on my computer) and I GOT THE SAME MESSAGE!

So will the above mentioned fix work for Bon Voyage as well? Or is it just that I am doomed to never install any Expansion past Seasons on my computer again?
