I have seen Rooney play a myriad of times. I see someone who had to learn to share the ball, since he was innately a ball hogger himself.
He's brash, hot headed, and not composed in pressure. He plays hard, but in a sport of required finesse, he's a bull in a china shop.
Rooney is to much British football instead of being a World Class Player. Laser shot and grit is great, but what happens when you have to out maneuver and out think your opponant? What happens to Rooney's game then?
And after several foot injuries, he isn't as fast- so what happens when all the physical gifts he started with begin fading...his ability to use his brain without emotion seems to elude him.
Rooney is one dimensional, even though he works hard for the team.
England bolstered his true abilities way to much.
