Im going to have my two pennth and it is one heck of a two pennth. Firstly to all the non-believers, there was a fantastic piece of software called Safedisk (Macrovision owned) which shipped with the Sims 2 series right upto H&M Stuff which was extremely reliable and stable, then they (EA) started using the crettin named secuROM without telling us, probably to save money, knowing EA.

Ever since secuROM has been launched and updated with all games sold by EA, thousands of players have been in uproar over this piece of lalalala. To some computers it can cause minor errors like lockups and slow downs, but in worse cases can cause massive damage to systems such as automatic firewall and anti-virus deactivation, disk drive meltdown/failure, internet connection problems, even complete failure to systems and corruption/deletion to files and folders.
No software should do this, I repeat shouldn't do this, only Malware, Trojans, Worms and Viruses do this.

Sony had no right to create this monster of a programme. I mean Sony, the Japanese telly manufacturer are not good at producing software and should stick to making electronics. Money-grabbing, greedy and selfish EA had no right using secuROM, nothing was wrong with Safedisk, like we say, If it ain't broke, why fix it?!

EA and Sony should own up to this, and destroy secuROM as it is as usefull as a chocolate teapot and totally shouldnt exist.

And again to all the none believers that think secuROM is 'angelic' and 'perfect', just type 'securom' into Google, or any search engine in fact and read the little horrors that appear, then you'll realise that this software was developed by the devil and isnt good as you'd thought it was.
