Given there roster set-up, that's pretty much the game plan and what was to be expected for LA to be successful this year going into the season.
I think it's fantastic the likes of Buddle & Gordon have really stepped up their games in recent weeks, giving some relief to the " Big 2 " and LA's shaky DEF/GK.

Question for everyone: Does anyone else think LA should consider trading Ruiz? Three reasons why, I believe, it would strengthen their team (addition by subtraction)
- Ruiz is a DP, thus a serious burden on a salary cap already hosting two other DP's in Becks & Lando.
- With removing Ruiz from the picture and trading him to a team in need of some offense who would in turn perhaps part with a " prospect " or some type of additional DEF help to add to a short bench in LA.
- Ability / Cap space to go after the likes of Carlos Bocanegra (since the MLS may be a consideration if he isn't able to land a job in Holland, etc) and add his experience to an inexperienced and inconsistant backline.
Given the emergence of Buddle & Gordon, the above is why I believe they should part with Ruiz. Not to mention that in their first game together in the regular season versus Colorado, they seemed as if they were in each others way (Lando/Ruiz) more than an asset to each other.
