I have to agree with some of the sentiment expressed on this thread. If individual parents have assessed the content of the game and deemed it suitable for their underage child, that is one thing. But a lot of parents will just take the attitude that it's a game, therefore it's designed for kids, therefore how can it not be suitable? These are the same parents that will let their seven year olds play GTA, and they are definitely irresponsible.

The former group I don't believe are irresponsible, as they are considering the effects upon the child. However, they will have to continue to do that for all teen-rated games - they cannot expect them to be toned down just because their children like them.

The content of the game should be aimed at the group it's rated for and not below - it's then up to parents if they choose to ignore that rating.
