Oh I know legally they have to take it back, I just want clarification as to whether it is easier to return it straight to EA or if I should just go through the retailer, chances are it'll be a drum from the same batch or hardware if I go through the shop which I'd rather avoid to get a more recent hardware revsion (his one is EL). Unfortunatly I wasn't there when he went back, and 13 year olds aren't exactly intimidating to shop owners, especially the small independant ones who would rather not have to deal with returns etc. unlike big chains who hardly care and can return them in bulk.
